Welcome to Private Lessons offered at Mary Wayte Pool
Private Lessons are a great way to help gain knowledge of specific skills or build confidence to get to the next level of swimming capabilities.
Private Lessons are designed to be one-on-one lessons and are 30 minutes in length. If you are looking for a class with more than one student, you will want to book a semi-private lesson.
Semi-Private Lessons are designed for two swimmers of the same capabilities to take a 30-minute class together while working on similar skills. If you choose to book a Semi-Private class, you will receive a $10 discount per swimmer. To book a Semi-Private class, book the first swimmer and add the additional swimmer to the wait list. Contact us and we will apply the discounts and complete the billing process. The best way to compete this is to email swimschool@mercerislandpool.com and let us know the swimmers you would like to have registered and the date and time of the class that you booked.
If you are looking for a budget-friendly option, and group lessons are not an option for you, consider registering for a clinic.
Clinics are a cost-effective way for a group of swimmers to focus on a specific skill. For example, if a swimmer is trying to improve their butterfly skills, they may want to register for a “Butterfly Clinic”. Most of our clinics are designed to focus on the basic foundational skills needed to pass our swim program requirements. If you are an elite swimmer, you will want to consider private lessons or advanced camps/clinics that would be designated as “Advanced”. Please read the description on our clinics closely because there are usually skill requirements for the safety of the swimmers and the progression of the class.
Important Information:
- Swimmers should arrive at least 5 minutes early, showered and be ready to swim.
- Swimmers should bring a towel and goggles.
- If a private lesson, semi-private lesson, or clinic needs to be cancelled, it must be done at least 24 hours in advance to receive credit. Anything less than 24 hours will result in forfeiture of funds paid for the class.
- Registration for private lessons for the upcoming month usually open on the 26th of the current month.
- Registration for clinics is ongoing as they become available. Check back often.
